I love it when I get the opportunity to see kids get bigger and families grow in front of my lens. This session was to celebrate Mr Evan turning one, my what a year it has been! You may remember a certain adorable big sister from her own first year session, and then a sweet little newborn this time last year. These kids are silly, smart, lovely, and always full of energy! Evan & Emery kept me on my toes for this session, made me work for each smile, but it was all worth it!

Kristi thanks for meeting me in town at the studio! It was great to see you all again, and play with the kids again. I can not believe your sweet little newborn baby is now a BOY! It was so fun to see the kids together. As you know I am a lover of all things blog contest. It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show.We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

My how the time flies! For his summer time 6 month session we were outdoors in the country, so we picked the studio & some city shots for his 1 year photos. The whole family was great to work with as always. I not going to lie I am sad that his “babies first year” is officially over, these kiddos are always fun to point a camera at!

Gah that little face kills me! Crissie & Dan thanks again for trekking into town for the shoot. It has been a pleasure to work with you all this year. I have loved watching your baby grown and your little girl get bigger too! Can’t wait to do this all again next year! As you know I will have the whole gallery done very soon. Today I have yet another adorable little girl to show off. Lovely little Lael was so good for me. Sweet, goofy (oh that tongue!) and simply adorable. Mom, Dad and grandma were all kind as well. We had a great time chatting in the studio as we captured the little princess in all her glory. She is a stylish little diva with some amazing hats, accessories and outfits, but of course with Mommy working in the clothing industry. This babies little smile and sweet little face could brighten any day. I know Mama is traveling for work right now, so I hope they warm her heart while she is so far away from home!

Jen thanks again for coming down to the studio and sharing your little lady with me. She was a complete doll! Sometimes it just clicks, and this was one of those times.

 

I met up with the F family to capture baby Arlo in his newborn stage. Being slightly older than my average newborn I did not know how the session would go, but man he was good for me! He is sweet, gentle and over the top adorable. The was also lucky enough to be born into a stunning Portland home filled with good art and fun textures. His room alone made me swoon. :) I am SO looking forward to watching Arlo grow over this year and getting to know his whole family more.

You may remember him from his newborn session here. It was my pleasure to point my camera at him and his family again this fall. We stayed in the studio this time as the weather was kind of yucky, but made it fun. Big brother was super impressed with the train that went by half way through our session, did I mention how adorable he is too? Ok enough of my gushing, on to the sneak peek!

I first met the N family to celebrate a very special little man coming into their lives. I got to capture him as a tiny guy, a bubbly baby and then when he turned one. We got to play again last year in the fall leaves when he was about to turn two. Well the N family is back and with another beautiful baby boy! I am so happy to celebrate with this family yet again with the wonderful addition to their family. Sweet baby boy was so good for me too, gah I could have taken photos of him all day.

Thanks again you guys for introducing me to your new little guy. He is absolute charmer, and seeing N again all big kills me. I am so very happy for you guys! I am excited to see your family again this year as baby W grows. Congratulations again, he is perfection.
