    Evan is One!

    Just before the holidays I had the pleasure of spending my morning with the always lovely Curtis family. I love it when I get the opportunity to see kids get bigger and families grow in front of my lens. This session was to celebrate Mr Evan turning one, my what a year it has been! You may remember a certain adorable big sister from her own first year session, and then a sweet little newborn this time last year. These kids are silly, smart, lovely, and always full of energy! Evan & Emery kept me on my toes for this session, made me work for each smile, but it was all worth it!

    Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

    Kristi thanks for meeting me in town at the studio! It was great to see you all again, and play with the kids again. I can not believe your sweet little newborn baby is now a BOY! It was so fun to see the kids together. As you know I am a lover of all things blog contest. As usual if you can get 30 people to comment on this little post I will throw in a set of lovely little brag books on the house.

    2011 best of emily g photography

    As always I have been working on a year end post. It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

    So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show.We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

    It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

    Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

    Simon is One!

    It was just a year ago Mr Simon was a sleepy little newborn, and now he is a walking, squealing toddler. My how the time flies! For his summer time 6 month session we were outdoors in the country, so we picked the studio & some city shots for his 1 year photos. The whole family was great to work with as always. I not going to lie I am sad that his “babies first year” is officially over, these kiddos are always fun to point a camera at!

     

    Here are a few of my many, many favorites so far:

    Gah that little face kills me! Crissie & Dan thanks again for trekking into town for the shoot. It has been a pleasure to work with you all this year. I have loved watching your baby grown and your little girl get bigger too! Can’t wait to do this all again next year! As you know I will have the whole gallery done very soon.     Lovely Lael

    It’s apparently cute baby season around here at emily g photography!

    Today I have yet another adorable little girl to show off. Lovely little Lael was so good for me. Sweet, goofy (oh that tongue!) and simply adorable. Mom, Dad and grandma were all kind as well. We had a great time chatting in the studio as we captured the little princess in all her glory. She is a stylish little diva with some amazing hats, accessories and outfits, but of course with Mommy working in the clothing industry. This babies little smile and sweet little face could brighten any day. I know Mama is traveling for work right now, so I hope they warm her heart while she is so far away from home!

    Jen thanks again for coming down to the studio and sharing your little lady with me. She was a complete doll!
