    Christine + Willy = Adorable

When I first started chatting with Christine about wedding photography I knew we would get along. She is sweet, kind and so full of joy. Her smile is infectious. I was excited to meet her, and the super sweet fiance she had told me about. When I discovered they were George Fox students it made it all the more fun. We got to chat about our favorite haunts here in Newberg, the beautiful campus, and falling in love. These two high school sweet hearts were just so lovely to chat with, I was thrilled when they said they wanted to hire me for their wedding.

We also had a great time on the George Fox campus creating some fun engagement photos. Here are a few of my favorites from our session…

Christine & Willy thanks again for being so fun to capture. It was wonderful to get to know you guys. I am so looking forward to capturing your big day for you. As always new clients are subject to blog challenges. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 on the house. So leave some love people!

    Meet Maxwell!

You might remember this family from a fun maternity session not too long ago. We had a great time making images and talking about this little guy. Mr Maxwell lived up to all the hype. He was sweet, gentle and just darling for me. It was great to hang out with the family at home and capture some of the sweet first moments together.

Here are a few of my favorites from our time together…

Elsa & Ben thanks again for having me out to meet little Maxwell. He was a darling, and it was so fun to see you all again. I hope he is letting you sleep a bit these days. I will have the whole set for you very soon. For now I would love to offer you a comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in a set of darling little  brag books for you. So leave some love friends!

    Loving Cornell Farms

Being a farm girl at heart event venues with lush green growing things are always my favorite. There are some amazing ones here in Oregon of course, but when I heard Cornell Farms was getting into weddings I was thrilled. I was double thrilled when the owner & staff invited me to come out and do a mini shoot for them in hopes of promoting their new event space. The owners have done an amazing job of renovating the historic farm house on the property, and making big plans for an outdoor event space. Just taking a little tour and talking to the staff got me all kind of excited about the possibilities. We did a mini bridal shoot to show off the renovation, and give the venue some images for their upcoming website.

It was a fun day. It was my pleasure to work with the great onsite staff, Emily Warner a fantastic local event planner & all around creative diva, and of course Kirstie Wight a wonderful make up artist.

Here are a few of my favorites…

A big thanks to the wonderful staff, Emily & Kirstie for making the whole day a fun one. I have SO MANY more photos to show off.

    mighty little Neko

I am sure it is the same in any profession, being asked to photograph a colleagues family is one of the highest kind of compliment. I have captured other photographers families quite a few times. It is always fun yet nerve wracking. This shoot was originally planned as a maternity session. The sweet & talented Kelly of June Lion was due in the spring with her first baby. I had big plans for her belly. As you know I am partial to capturing beautiful mamas, and redheads, so the combo had my brain spinning.

Then plans changed, in a drastic way. Baby girl decided to come early, very early. It got scary there for a bit, but Miss Neko is a fighter. Quite a mighty little thing. After a few months in the NICU and lots of love & prayers by many, many of us who know this family she came home. It was my pleasure to see this sweet family complete, at home, and loving every second of it.

Here are a few images from our little session at home…

Kelly thanks again for having me into your home to capture your family. Neko is an absolute doll. I hope you like the sneak peek. I will have the whole set done very soon.

    Megan & Michael

My first meeting with Michael & Megan consisted of 3 things: laughing, smart ass jokes & talking about love. In that order. It was quite possibly my favorite skype chat of all time.

Needless to say I adore these two. They are smart, funny, endlessly creative, highly musical and most importantly down to earth. These are my kind of people. Being that they live a bit south in California right now for their respective musical education programs I was eager to meet this wonderful couple in person. Finally just a few short weeks ago we were able to put together a time to chat, have coffee & take some fun engagement photos. We had  a great time strolling around the tiny town of St. Paul Oregon. We talked about music, weddings, practical jokes & love. I got to hear about their frozen but magical engagement. How they both grew up, and about plans for the big day.

Here are a few of my many favorites from our time together.

    Blue Steele/Magnum!

Michael & Megan thanks again for making the trip north. It was wonderful to get to know you guys. I am so looking forward to capturing your big day for you.
