    perfect little parker

I am not going to lie, when I learned about his impending arrival I could not wait to meet this little guy. You might remember his mama’s from their wedding a few years back. I remember that day being filled with love and laughter, very similar to our newborn session. Parker is a very lucky little guy to have two wonderful parents that love him so much. Even with sleepless nights & recovery pain you can see the love clearly here. It really was my privilege to capture it while it was all still fresh and new.

Here are a few of my favorites from our session.

Megan & Becca thanks again for having me into your home to capture your little guy. He is such a sweet little guy! I am so very happy for the two of you, and can not wait to see him get bigger. I will have the whole gallery done very soon here. And as you know I do love a good blog comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this little blog post I will throw in a set of mini brag books. Perfect for showing off a certain little baby around the office. :)

Natalie & Kevin: a beautiful Bridal Veil Lakes wedding

I knew going into Natalie & Kevin’s wedding it would be a fun one. Though our time spent together during the engagement session, facebook and pinterest I had learned all sorts of fun details, but seeing it all come together so perfectly was amazing. Natalie & Kevin planned a fantastic event, and hired an amazing wedding planner (Kelly of Muse Events) to pull it all off. (for real Kelly & Holly were amazing 2012 couples if you need a planner call them!)

It was a stunning day at Bridal Veil Lakes in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Not too hot or too cold. Friends & family gathered and celebrated a wonderful couple. Even when I84 traffic struck and delayed the ceremony we made the best of it and had fun taking a few extra photos. Down to every little detail this day was full of love and personality. I have to admit, when brides tell me they are doing a DIY wedding sometimes that scares me a little, you never know how it is going to turn out, but Natalie is the queen of DIY! Girlfriend did her own flowers, printing, details, even made her own dress! I can not believe how amazing it all turned out, Natalie you have a true talent. If that whole being a brilliant engineer does not work out I think you could go into dress making/wedding design easily! Seriously it really was my honor to capture this amazing wedding. I should also say my best girl Maricar was second shooting for me that day, some of the images you see below she captured.

I hope you are comfortable, cause I have ALLOT to show you!

Natalie & Kevin thank you again for having me out to capture your wedding. I adore both of you, and had a great time meeting all of your friends and family. I hope you love the results of all those clicks pointed your way. Your wedding was nothing short of magical. I will have the rest done here shortly!

    baby J is one!

How is it possible the sweet chubby little baby that it seems I pointed my camera at yesterday is already one?! Time flies with this one, first time it was a newborn session, then for her 6 months, and now little baby J is back on the blog to celebrate her first birthday. The sweet little chubby baby has turned into a smart, funny & fast toddler! Joclyn killed me with her smile and energy, it was really my pleasure to capture her once again. The whole family was awesome too trekking through a few steep trails and marshy areas for me. Thanks for being up for anything guys!

Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

Seth, Kim & kiddos thanks again for trekking into the woods with me! I have just adored getting to know you all this year. Your kids are nothing short of adorable, and you all were great to work with. I hope to see you all again soon and watch your little ones grow even bigger. Thanks again for always being up for any of my crazy ideas! I will have the whole set done here shortly too!

    in loving memory

Last week it was my honor to capture a very beautiful and important event. It was my privilege to attend and document the funeral of a beloved father and husband.  Not normal kind of event to capture, but when a dear friend asked me I could not say no. I am not going to share many but I wanted to post a handful I think really turned out well with out compromising the families privacy.

Stephanie & family thank you again for trusting me with this. I will have the whole set to you very shortly.

    April & Brian: the wedding

April and Brian have always been great to work with. We had a wonderful time not too long ago doing some engagement photos. Well they are back on the blog to show off some images from their big day just a few short weeks ago!

April & Brian put on an amazing event at the completely stunning Camas Meadows Golf Club in Camas Washington. Every little detail was perfectly thought out and placed. April was also calm dealing with rain threatening her big day. She went with her gut (my kind of girl) and said no to moving the wedding when the weather looked bad. In the end April was 100% right, we ended up with an amazingly beautiful day filled with love and sunlight. I had a great time from the beginning to end of the event. I was lucky enough to have my girl Maricar by my side as second shooter as well. The day was just fantastic to be a part of from beginning to end.

Here are a few of my many favorites:

April & Brian thank you again for having me out to capture your day. You were both a joy to work with. I hope you love your resulting images as much as I do. I wish you two nothing but joy in your life together. I hope the honeymoon was amazing!

Friends & Family if you would like to see the whole gallery you can go to www.emilygshopping.com and look for the “April & Brian” gallery. The password is the couples new last name. :)

Thank you all again for making this wedding such an amazing event to capture!
