    Rachelle + Courtney = Love

Rachelle emailed me a while back to inquire about engagement photos. You see her her girlfriend had just proposed and they were over the moon excited to celebrate. After chatting via email for a while I could tell I was going to like these two, they were sweet, funny and over the top in LOVE. I can not ask for more, so when they showed up on a blustery rainy morning with beautiful smiles on their faces, I could not help but smile too. You see we had planned on shooting outside while they were in Portland, but due to weather and time constraints we headed inside of my studio building. The local businesses on the main floor were awesome enough to let us crash their spaces as well. A HUGE thank you to Water Ave Coffee & Bunk Bar for being so awesome. It really turned out to be a great session despite the crappy weather! Courtney and Rachelle were wonderful and so adorable to put in front of the camera.

Rachelle & Courtney thanks for being so fun and making a rainy day rock! I just adored working with the two of you, and I am SO looking forward to your wedding next summer! I hope you love your sneak peek, I will have the whole gallery up shortly for you.  As new clients I would love to throw down a blog challenge for you. If you can get 30 people to comment on this little post I will throw in a mounted 11×14 on the house for you. :)

    So leave some love people!

    Baby E is one!

I have known this family for a while now, so it was my pleasure to celebrate a big milestone with them. Ellery is such a sweet, silly little girl, even when she is giving me the evil eye for sticking the camera her way yet again.  It was almost 3 years ago I started working with the D family,   and it was my pleasure to capture brand new baby Ellry and then again as she grew into a sweet little lady. I can not believe she is one already! Chatting, moving and trowing some serious character around. It was so fun to get to work with the whole family again! We set up a little tea party for the girls.

Thanks again for meeting me in town for the shoot. I had a great time playing with you all once again. You make some seriously cute babies! I will have the whole gallery very soon. But… you know what time it is right? Comment challenge time, this time for a cute little brag book. Lets say 30 comments this time shall we, and see if we can break your time record? Ready, set go! Leave some love people.

    Evan + Devin = Love

Evan, Devin and I have been talking for quite a while not about their October commitment ceremony at the beautiful Portland Art Museum. I love my job, talking about flowers, food & reception details over wine and cheese with fabulous clients, it just does not get much better! I am so looking forward to their fall event, it is going to be amazing!

So in preparation for the big day we went out a few weeks ago and did some engagement photos. We wanted to get an outdoors feel as the ceremony portraits will be quite urban. We headed out to Champogne State Park on a beautiufl early summer evening. I even got to play with the furry family members. :)

Devin & Evan thanks again for trekking out to see me again. I am so looking forward to capturing your big day! As always I love to offer my new clients a blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 mounted print on the house. I hope you are having a great holiday weekend! I will have the entire gallery for you very soon.

    Petalos Portraits

One of the many wonderful things about working in the wedding industry are the people. Fellow vendors there to help make a couples dreams come true, at the best weddings we all end up working as a team. I love that, I love working in collaboration. So when one of the most talented floral designers in the area approached me about doing some new photos for her website I jumped at the chance. Stephanie of Petalos is not just a florist, she does flowers for sure, but her real talent is in event design. She can take a couples ideas and turn them into something amazing. She has an amazingly creative eye, and the warmest smile you will ever see. I had a blast shooting some of her in the studio and then around downtown Portland. We laughed, had a drink, talked about being working mamas and made some fun images.

As I have said before I love doing “out of the box” headshots. It was my pleasure to work with you Stephanie! I am so glad we have become friends. :)
