    just one from today…

Greetings from Newborn week! I have 3 fresh new little ones to capture this week and I am LOVING it. My first session of the week was with this little darling. He was SUCH an angel for me as you can see. I could have pointed my camera at this little one all day long. I knew he would be good as his parents have always been great in front of the camera for me too. :) Much more from this little guy to come, I just had to post one, I could not help my self. :)

from puddle jumping to wedding planning: April & Brian Love

A few months back on a rainy dark day April called me up to ask about wedding photography. I asked her a little about her self and her fiance, once she started talking I instantly knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. She was so warm, sweet and clearly in love with a wonderful man. She told me about how they met, how they fell in love and how excited she was for her July wedding. Even on a cold rainy day, she completely warmed my heart with her sweet words. When we met a few days later at a bridal fair she and her mother completely charmed me again. Clearly I am excited for this wedding!

So last week on the warmest and sunniest day of the year so far we met up for some fun engagement photos. We started at a little pub them spent their second date at, we also visited the site of a very special puddle jump. As April tells it she knew after jumping over that puddle into Brian’s arms he was the one. :) It was also the spot of their engagement so we just had to visit! Oh man I love a good romantic story! We laughed, talked about beer & Broadway musicals. In short it was a great time! Here are a few of my favorites so far:

April & Brian thanks for meeting up with me! I had a great time getting to know you two better. I hope you like the sneak peek, I will have your whole gallery very, very soon! As new clients you also know I have to throw down the blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this here blog post I will throw in an 11×14 print on the house!

what is that big round thing in the sky?!

It’s yellow-ish, brings warmth, and is so pretty. OH ITS THE SUN!

It’s that time of year again when us Oregonians shed our fleece layers and venture out into the sun. Don’t over do it forget your sunscreen kids! Our family celebrated the pretty warm weather by doing a little gardening last night as you can see by the big smiles and dirty hands.

I LOVE this beautiful weather, and shooting out in it! Now is the time of year to start setting up summer portrait sessions! I have lots of fun ideas for beautiful outdoor sessions this year. If you are interested let me know asap, prime spots on the calender (weekends) will fill up fast.

Happy Thursday friends! Enjoy the amazing weather!

    Natalie + Kevin = Love

Natalie started talking seems like years ago about her wedding. We spoke via email about everything from theme to digital file sizes. If my memory is correct she first contacted me when I was newly home from having my little boy. After a few months of emailing and phone calls we set up the first engagement session, that was shortly canceled due to a small monsoon. After a few failed attempts we finally met up a few weeks ago for the session. I am SO glad we waited, we scored some amazing weather this time around! Natalie and Kevin were amazingly fun to hang out with as well. We had a great time laughing, getting to know each other, and making some fun images. Natalie gets all the credit for scoping out some cool locations in deep NW Portland.

Here are few of my favorites so far:

OH I should also say that last one was a out-take, but it makes me smile REALLY BIG, so I left it in there. :) I just adore these two!

Natalie & Kevin thanks again for toughing out the bad weather reschedules, and making this happen. I had a GREAT tune getting to know the two of you. I can not wait to capture your wedding this August! It is going to be amazing I am sure. :) As new clients you also know I have to throw down the blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this here blog post I will throw in an 11×14 print on the house!

the baby in the orange chair is back!

If you are a long time blog reader you might remember a certain uber cute baby in a bright orange chair from almost 2 years ago. She actually still graces my header some times. Well miss cute orange chair is back, and she is now a big sister! It is over the top adorable how much these two love each-other! I got to hang out with the whole family again to celebrate little sister’s first birthday. Little sis is just as adorable as her elder sister, and may even have more spunk if that is possible. Oh and sparkly eyes run in the family, I swear no photoshopping!

I had a great time seeing the whole family again and capturing the love & fun they share. We even lucked into some amazingly warm May weather!

Here are a few of my favorites (ok many of my favorites!) :

Murielle thanks again  for having me into your home to capture your beautiful family. Your little girls are stunning and so sweet, I hope you love these as much as I do. I have so many more to show you, and soon! And again this year of course I have to hook up the comment challenge, if you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post (yes you can comment too!) I will throw in a cute little wallet album perfect for showing off those sweet little girls of yours. I will have the whole set for you soon.
