    Lori & Jason: Wedding

Man I am a lucky, lucky girl. First I got to photograph a beautiful couple, with their beautiful girl’s engagement session.  Then I got to capture an amazingly beautiful wedding. For real people, I think I have the best job in the world.

So here is the deal, a few weeks back Lori & Jason got married, they took vows and became a beautiful family. The entire event was filled with so much joy and emotion, really it was my pleasure to be there. I have been working on the images for a while now, so I hope you are ready for a long peek, too much good stuff to share!A big thank you to the lovely Maricar for being my right hand woman for this wedding, a few of the images you will see below were taking by her.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Lori & Jason got ready at the Avalon Hotel right on the waterfront. Such a beautiful location. Lori’s details were so lovely, elegant and simple at the same time, I loved it. And yes those would be the bride’s hands tying the  bow, even on her wedding day she was a mama first.

Jason also had some well thought out details, the matching ties and cuff-links rocked.

Check out our knock out bride and her flower girls (hers and his daughters) The cuteness is too much!

The girls were so sweet on the wedding day, they kept running around saying “we are going to be SISTERS!” seriously I could eat these two up.

Jason and he best man Ransom (maker of the best wedding toast ever BTW) also had fun with the getting ready. Maricar says they were quite entertaining.

So on the ceremony. The ceremony and reception took place at the  Aquariva restaurant next to the hotel.  A beautiful and modern location.

The ceremony was beautifully preformed by Lori’s grandfather. This kind and well spoken gentleman traveled from out of state just weeks after having open heart surgery! Just amazing. Such a sweet man too. :) Seeing the way these two looked at each other made even me teary eyed. :)

    The whole ceremony was lovely.

So on to the portraits! “My” part of the day.

Ok for real, working with people this beautiful, kind and funny made my job way too easy.

Just look at these two, hello gorgeous!

I just loved the back lighting we got in this lobby area, I could have shot there all day. Sigh these two are amazing right.

We also went outside for a few.  The Avalon is right on the river, and the cotton trees were blooming. Not so great for the allergies, but lovely for photos.

    :)

And one last one, we had serious fun with the rings on this one!

Lori & Jason thanks so much for having me out to capture your day. You two are fantastic, I wish you nothing but joy and happiness in your new life & family together. I will have much more for you very soon!

I will have much more from this wedding , a slideshow for sure.  If you are a friend or family member feel free to leave a comment below and I will let you know when the whole gallery is ready!

    downtown wedding: Matt & Oralea

You may remember the lovely Oralea & Matt from their engagement session not too long ago. Well I am back to post about their amazing wedding this time, and no doubt about it, it was amazing! Matt and Orelea were a joy to work with, super laid back and happy. Even if their day had more than it’s fair share of raindrops, it was a stunning occasion. :) Big thanks to Joel for being my right hand man for this wedding. Some of the images you see below were taken by him.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

These two got ready at the beautiful downtown Hotel de Luxe.

Oralea’s dress was so beautiful. I loved the intricate floral pattern, and oh my the shoes! Killer right.

Our beautiful bride getting ready. :)

Matt also looked dashing, here he is lending a helping hand to a groom’s man.

The flowers were amazing as well. I loved the use of thistle here.

Orelea’s smile is just shining here.

She looked over the top amazing right.

We did our first look in the “screening room” at the hotel, such a beautiful place. I love Matt’s smile in these. You can see the love here.

    :)

These two are just so lovely together.

The whole wedding party was just a joy to work with. Such nice & funny people.

    ahhh they are so sweet!

After finishing up at the hotel we moved on to the Ceremony & reception site. The fantastic Davis Street Tavern in Old Town. This place is over the top great. Best wedding food of my life. For real I am taking the hubby back when we get the chance to have a proper date night!

After passed hordereves and cocktails it was time for the ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful. Simple and sweet, officiated by a dear friend of theirs.

We took advantage of some of the Davis Street’s window light for the ring shots. I just loved the custom menus, every details was superb.

The back room of the Tavern was set up for the reception, and let me tell you it was fantastic to be a part of. The food was amazing! Again I can not wait to go back.

And I will end it there for today, Lots more to come. I have some fun reception and lots more details to show off. A slideshow later on perhaps.

Matt & Oralea thanks again for having me out to be a part of your special day. I hope your European  honeymoon was great, you two deserve the best. I will have much more for you very soon.

Mrs J the pin up girl

When the lovely Mrs J contacted me to set up a boudoir session she mentioned 2 things, she wanted these to be a gift for her husband for their first anniversary, and she wanted to go pin up girl style.  I knew right away this was going to be a fun one. Mrs J knows pin up style, she had the hair, the make up, the lingerie even the accessories! We had a blast doing a glam pin up session, all in the comforts of her own home.

Here are a few “blog friendly” peeks.

    Hello beautiful lady!

and check out the amazing pin curl she hooked up, I loved it.

I love these, what man would not want to come home to his wife in nothing but pearls and a smile.

Oh did I mention how much I loved her apron and heels, and yes that is some real cookie dough. Mrs J worked it.

And being these are for her anniversary we had to break out the veil and wedding lingerie.

Mrs j girl you looked smoking hot! I hope you love your peek. I will have the whole gallery up very, very soon!
