    Mr. Charming is ONE!

I have been working with Mr. Charming and his family for a while now. It is always so amazing to see the little ones grow right in front of my lens. Well this last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with the family once again to celebrate the little man’s first birthday! I know I say it all the time, but seriously this kid just gets more and more adorable. Keeping me running the whole session and up and down the stairs more than a few times. Really with a smile like his, how could I not love every single moment. :)

his new big boy smile kills me, I just wanted to eat him up he is so sweet!

and so big now! walking and running around the house. No more baby crawling for this little man.

he might be on his way to big boy status, but he still has time to love on daddy.

and snuggles for mama too, even if it was just a super quick stop.

    so much love here. :)

including love for the STAIRS! little man loves to climb the stairs, I just had to get a few of him in action. Buddy is fast too!

and one last photo of the whole family. Love, laughs and more love would really sum it up.

Big boy N happy birthday to you little man! I had an amazing year watching you grow! I can not wait to see you again this summer and see how big you can get! I hope you had lots of messy cake after I left. :)

Mama & Dad thanks again for having me in to capture your little man’s first year. It has been a pleasure working with you all, and seeing how the little guy grows. You all are such a lovely family, I look forward to seeing you all for many years to come.

    busy busy bee

So much for the slow season!

We have been busy busy bees around here at emily g photography.  Answering new client inquiries, taking photos of cute babies, designing guest sign in books & wedding albums and working on a little bumpy-side project of our own. ;)

I want to thank all of you who have been referring your friends my way. If I could I would hug each and every one of you!

As I said before 2009 was an amazing year, and 2010 is shaping up to be pretty wonderful so far. Lots more on the blog post coming up. For now I will leave you with a couple images from Bryn & Scott’s stunning Mt. Hood Wedding this summer. I am working on their album right now, ahhh I just love falling in love with the weddings all over again while designing albums.

    much more to come soon,

the ever so lovely Hamilton family

A while back the lovely Valerie  contacted me about a family session. She had purchased a gift certificate at an auction I donated and was ready to get her adorable family in front of the camera. Well spring turned into summer, and summer turned into fall, and then winter and finally the stars aligned to make our session happen. I have learned that juggling the schedules of 3 very active teenage girls & family is shall we say creative. I have only one girl who rocks my world so I can not imagine juggling three, Valerie is pretty amazing.

On our session date I was very excited to meet the family and get out to do some photos. The whole family was lots of fun, sweet and impeccably dressed. We had a great time running around Newberg and creating some fun family photos.

Here are a few of my favorites:

    good looking family eh.

    the Mr. & Mrs.

We even got grandma into the mix for a few.

Check out the whole family looking cool.

and just the girls looking lovely.

    seriously beautiful girls.

and one of all the lovely ladies of the family.

and one last set of the whole family.

Valerie thanks for organizing your wonderful family for the session. I had a great time meeting all of you! I hope you like your little sneak peak, I will have the whole set ready for you very soon!

    apparently it is bouquet week!

Just the other day I was posting about wedding flowers, and today bouquets are the topic again!

    but with a twist :)

You all remember Katie & Charlotte’s amazing celebration last month right?

Well the maker of the over the top stunning felt bouquets has a lovely online shop called Princess Laserton. Seriously she does some amazing things. A wonderful alternative traditional flowers, and they last for a lifetime! Megan (the owner) is also a sweet heart. She posted a few more photos on her blog today. So click here and take a look at the goodness!

    Wild & Elegant

It is no secret I absolutely adored the flowers at Kelsey & Stephen’s wedding this past summer.

I mean really, they are amazing right?!

The bouquets, boutonnieres & table pieces were done by one of Portland’s finest floral design shops Ink & Peat in NE Portland. If you are a bride still on the search for a floral designer do your self a favor, call Pam she is amazing.

Well the lovely Pam has a blog of her own and featured Kelsey & Stephen’s wedding today, with some of my work to illustrate the beauty. Click here and take a look for your self. She also talks about what flowers were used and the theme of the design. Great stuff. :)
