    Do you Yelp?

So I keep hearing about this website www.yelp.com it is a 3rd party review site of local businesses and services.

Well I did some digging this week and totally have my self addicted! I have been reviewing restaurants and coffee shops in my area, as well as setting up an Emily G Photography YELP page.  If you are a current or former client please do feel free to yelp away and review! I would love some additional honest words about your experience with my work. :)

    When brides blog…

I have ridiculously rad clients. It is just that simple. I seem to end up working with wonderfully fun, creative, and stylish people. I am a lucky, lucky girl. One of the craftiness brides of 2009 was the one and only Emily P. Do you remember the amazing wedding, and hello LEGO cake topper! I loved every inch of their wedding.

Well Mrs. Price has a incredibly cute blog now, it is full of cute style bits,  recipes, and as luck would have it has been blogging about her wedding experience.  If any of my 2010 and beyond brides are reading this I would recommend adding PDX Cookie Jar to your blog readers. I am getting Em has some more great information out there for you soon enough!

    Baby S is One!

You remember this charming little dude from the summer right? Well over the past few months baby S has turned into less of a baby and more of a little boy. Still over the top cute, he is now also incredibly charming and fast! He was keeping on my toes for sure this past weekend while we ran around taking photos at McMennamin’s Kennedy School in NE Portland.  It was great to see the whole family, hear about their amazing trip to Turkey this past fall and just hang out.

Check out a few of my favorite’s so far:

Gah that smile kills me, such a charmer!

he is also very much MOBILE, a fast crawler this one.

and so happy, especially when he has his favorite toy the soccer ball near by.  Boy is going to be the next Beckam no doubt about it.

We had fun with the whole family, clearly he is a very loved little dude.

Don’t forget his BFF grandma! These two were adorable together.

    :)

Have I mentioned his smile is to die for? Such a charmer!

Again with the soccer ball. I think this one might be my favorite of the set. His eyes are just so stunning here.

And one last photo of the entire family. Such lovely people.

Jessica thanks again for meeting up for photos with little S and the whole family. I am so loving watching him grow up in front of the lens! He is just a darling little man! I hope you have a wonderful winter & spring, I look forward to hanging out with you all again this summer. I am sure by then he will be full on running, it will be a fun one for sure.

    Sweet Ruby Tuesday

I have been waiting for the arrival of miss Ruby for a while now. Her mama & papa  happen to be dear friends of mine, and I could not wait to see the perfect baby they would create.  Mary & Chris would not disappoint! Ruby is sweet & sassy for such a little miss, she had me wrapped around her little finger by the end of the session. I can not wait to see her grow up! She also is a very lucky little diva, incredibly loved by her parents and extended family. This little diva already has a huge fan club!

Check out the perfect miss Ruby, isn’t she the most amazing little lady!

I know I always say this, but seriously, I wanted to eat her up. She was so good for me too! We ended up shooting on a super dark dreary rainy Oregon day, but little miss Ruby can light up a room. Cute hat by her loving auntie here.

mama also got into a hat purchasing mode before she arrived. I LOVE this little bear hat! The cuteness is just over the top.

Ruby’s cheeks just killed me too. The chubbiness is just the best!

A huge shout out to Mary & Chris for letting me work on a crazy idea. This holiday wreath was on the door when I arrived and I just ahd to use it. A few baby kicks & a little baby poo later the wreath was a casualty to the cause of cute baby photos. Thanks for letting me try out my idea guys!

Speaking of here are our  new Mom & Dad. Clearly this baby is not adored at all, not one bit. ;) These two are such natural parents already, I just adored watching their interactions!

“ahem guys, hello first baby here too!”

Meet Barley, Ruby’s big brother, a cutie in his own right.

and then they were 3. :)

and just one more of little miss chubby cheeks. I just want to smooch her up!

Mary & Chris thanks again for being patient & letting me capture your little lady. I can not wait to see how she grows up over the next year and beyond. I am betting she has Mom’s stubbornness and Dad’s dry sense of humor, or maybe that is what I am just hoping for! She is just divine! And of course because miss Mary is a self proclaimed blog stalker I have a comment challenge to hook up! If you can get 25 people to comment on this little post you will have two wallet brag books coming your way. Perfect for showing off baby pics around the office. :) So leave some love folks!

    sign in please…

As I wind down my shooting schedule this month in preparation for little man to make his grand entrance in February I have shifted my energy to a few fun design projects on the list.

The super adorable Megan & Matt have me working on a guest sign in book for their special day showcasing some of the photos we took during their engagement session.

I absolutely adore doing guest sign in books. These books are a great way to show off your engagement photos, and share a little bit more of the couple’s personality on their big day. It is also great because you end up with a keep sake worth showcasing. Each book is individually designed by me to be an original and completely different book than anything else out there.I try my best to bring in the couple’s personality & the wedding theme when possible.

The more traditional guest sign in books (big puffy lined books) honestly, what do you do with those? My old formal guest sign in book is sitting in a box in my basement somewhere! These books are fun to keep on a coffee table and re-read for years to come. The books can either be lined for guest to sign, or have lots of white space for people to leave their best wishes.

If you want to take a sneak peek into what Matt & Megan’s book is looking like I have their first draft posting online here.
