Fun in the coastal range with Steph & Mark

Steph & Mark have been planning their big day for quite some time. You might remember them from their fun downtown engagement session here. Well just a few weeks ago the day finally came, and Steph & Mark finally tied the knot! It was such a fun day I feel honored to capture!

Friends, family and lots of cute kids made the day a special one for sure! I should also mention for this wedding I had along the lovely & talented Maricar Lianne. Some of the images you see below were shot by her, girlfriend rocks. :)

I have quite a few favorites from the day, here are just a few to tie the happy couple over:

    dress

Steph’s dress was lovely. I loved all the detail.

    gettingreadyher

Some bride’s like their getting ready room quiet and calm, not Steph! The prep room was full of buzzing and fun energy, not unlike miss Steph her self!

    Bride

Check out our lovely bride. I just love her laugh.

While the girls got ready in a lovely little suite the boys roughed it. Literally they got ready in a space that was under construction! They were hard core and did not mind at all, heck Mark kind of enjoyed the power tools!

    firstlook

The first look was such a special moment, full of love and laughter.

After a little bit we took some time to walk around the property a bit with the happy couple. Camp Turnaround was a lovely and fun venue!

The grounds had all sorts of great little paths to check out.

    silly

Have I mentioned that one of the reasons I adore miss Steph is her silly streak? She completely cracks me up.

    themontheriver

I just loved this river bed, so lovely to hang out and shoot.

After a bit of time with our lovely couple we gathered up the whole wedding party and did some group shots. We also did a few of the smallest wedding party members.

    kids

Can you tell that a few of these take after Auntie Steph and her silly streak! :)

Check out our whole wedding party.

Such a lovely group of people.

The whole gang was lots of fun to hang out with for the day.

Steph & Mark I have lots more for you very soon! I hope you like the peek so far. I will have the whole gallery up for you and your family shortly. I hope you had a great trip and are really enjoying married life!

    what an amazing event …

Kelsey & Stephan were married a few weeks ago at the stunningly beautiful the De Armond Garden Estate in Hillsboro, OR.  You might recognize them from their engagement session not too long ago. I just adore these two. It is always so lovely when clients give you creative freedom to capture their big day, and the fact that they are adorable pretty great too. Every little detail of this wedding was immaculate. The venue was absolutely stunning. The flowers (by the uber talented Pam of Ink & Peat Floral Design) were gorgeous. The food & event design (By the lovely Emily at The Art of Catering) was delicious and flawless. I should also thank my lovely and super talented Second Shooter for the day Kacy, some of the images you see below she shot, she rocks (if any one needs HS Senior Photos Kacy is the best around!).

The entire evening was amazing. I hope you all are ready for an extra long peek, I could not help my self here!

Weddings  like this make me love my job!

    dressshoes

Kelsey’s dress was so lovely. She had her mother’s dress altered to fit her, and the style she wanted, I think that is so sweet.

    herprep

Kelsey is one of those bride that show up absolutely beautiful even before the hair and make up.  That particular morning it was raining, and not a little spit, it was really raining. But lovely Kelsey was just Zen about the whole thing.  I was so impressed!

    him prep

Stephan was also very calm and relaxed.  His grooms men were also so sweet and fun to spend time with. You can tell these boys not only like to have fun together, but really care for one another. I just love that.

    dresson

Kelsey’s Brides Maids were also lovely. I absolutely adore the dresses they picked out! And here is Kelsey looking lovely in hers. :)

    flowersbig

Kelsey’s wedding dress was topped off by some of the most amazing wedding flowers I have ever seen. Just beautiful!

Again if any of my 2010 brides are still looking for a florist Pam at Ink & Peat does amazing work.

    himbits

Stephen also rocked the fun details. From is cool boutonniere to custom cuff links. He had a K for Kelsey & and S for Stephan. So sweet right?!

    first look

We set up Kelsey & Stephan’s first look in front of this neat old barn and vintage truck. This property had so many amazing spots to shoot! I just love their big huge smiles here, these two are so sweet together.

    BWtruck

Kelsey & Stephan had so many vintage elements to their day, I just had to do one really funky vintage style treatment with the old truck. :)

rockensocksDid I say every little detail was perfect? See even down to Stephan’s awesome socks!

Sweet Kelsey & her lovely ladies.

Stephan and his handsome groomsmen, complete with fancy cigars thanks to Dad!

Kelsey & Stephan I had an absolutely lovely time at your wedding. Thank you so much for having me be a part of your day. I hope you are both having a great time in Peru! I bet it is amazing. I hope you enjoy your peek. Lots more to come very soon. Any friends & family please be sure to leave a comment below if you would like access to the whole gallery when it is up and ready!

because the blog needs some red head this afternoon….

I am in the middle of a whirl wind album designing day here at emily g photography, but I had to take a little break. I had a wonderful client call me to talk about her order and she was so cute to mention it had been a long time since I had blogged about my little lady. I checked the archives, clearly she is right! So here is a quickie post with some personal photos. These are all just snap shots from a beach trip last month (or was it July? I don’t remember!). It seems like this summer all I have done is work, so here proof we do have a family life every once in a while!

    crablegssdrama

I made the mistake of telling her not to step on the crab legs. Apparently she is still freaked out about them and to this day asks if there are any crab legs around on our walks. Yeah, I scared her for life, perfect. :(

    my people

The redhead and the moustache, they are my people. :)

    proofiwasthere

Hey look proof I was there too! I love the one on the right, it looks like she is throwing little pre-schooler gang signs! lol. You can also see here the very beginning of a baby bump. That is right in case you missed it on facebook or twitter, there will be a new addition to our household next February.

    beachfall

and this little series cracks me up to no end. No I do not enjoy my child falling, but the fact I caught this little series of seconds is the magic of a fast lens and shutter speed. She was fine, a little sandy and wet but fine.

So there you have it, our silly little family. I will do a few more personal posts later on in the week or next. We actually did quite a lot this summer. But first back to the album designing for you lovely clients out there!

If you or your family/friends are thinking of scheduling a session prior to the holidays please call or email me soon. I am starting to book up all my prime spots! I would hate to miss anyone. :)

Love at the Oregon State Fair

Julie & Chris are my kind of couple, fun, outgoing, silly, and well they like to eat crazy fried sugary food.

From the very first inquiry email I received from Julie she was planning a very special engagement session. Chris had this idea to do their session at the Oregon State Fair. Bright colors, fun backdrops, and of course fair food. You see Chris is a corn dog guy, what better place is there for a corn dog guy that the state fair.  So off to the fair we went, and had lots of fun making some great images.

I could go on and one but lets get to the photos!

    redset

Chris & Julie are adorable too, did I mention that?

    JulieChrisPeek-3

I loved this cool old truck, and of course Julie’s sassy heels. Such a trooper hiking all over the fair grounds in them.

    JulieChrisPeek-4

Chris was right, check out all the lights and colors, I just loved trying to capture it all! And of course having a beautiful couple to put in front of it all was lots of fun.

    gameset

    Whack-a-mole? Heck yeah we did!

    fairset

Corn dogs, cotton candy, candy apples, all the important food groups.

And you know what’s next right…

    JulieChrisPeek-16

Julie & Chris fully art directed this one, like I said Chris is a corn dog guy.

    JulieChrisPeek-21

Yum elephant ears and sparkly diamonds.

    JulieChrisPeek-19

These two are so sweet together. I asked Julie to nuzzle into Chris here, clearly she knows this spot well.

Julie & Chris I had a wonderful time with the two of you at the fair! I am so looking forward to your wedding next summer. I can already tell it is going to be an amazing event. For all my new clients I like to offer a comment challenge and you two are no different. If you can get 30 people to comment on this little blog post you will get an 11×14 of your choice from this session on the house! Feel free to post this link on your facebook, blog where ever. So leave some love folks, these two are the best.
