a quick break from our regularly scheduled programing…

We take a break from our regularly scheduled posting cute families & beautiful couples to bring you late breaking news…

    my kid is cute!

The little redheaded diva had her very first dance recital this evening and her oooooyo gooooooy mama in between tears of pride had to snap a few. She did a fabulous job, in between perfect little ballet & tap steps she even made time to mug for the camera! Such a little goofball. Well while these are really just a few snapshots I had to share!

    hermoves

She had absolutely no problem being out front of a crowd, yeah I think I know where she gets that from. ;)

    set

Yes that is my girl sticking out her tongue and being a goof ball, I think she get that trait from her daddy.

She wanted to go to bed wearing the polka dotted tutu and sequined hair band but I talked her out of it. I am sure we will see more of this particular outfit again very soon. :)

Have I mentioned she is cute?

Thanks for indulging me guys, more client photos soon to come!

    Emily + Stephen = Adorableness {engagement sneak peek}

adorableness.. is that a real word?

If not I have made it up because Emily & Stephen deserve something special. Not only does Emily have an extra special cool name, these two are simply wonderful. So full of love and fun. When we met for the first time last year I and I got a chance to hear all about their September wedding I knew I had to be there. They are smart, funny, quirky, silly and well adorable. I have been looking forward to our Mt. Tabor engagement session for some time now and we had a great time. There were so many images to choose from for this peek it was a little ridiculous, so I was forced to pair it down. E&S many, many more to come!

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    parkbench

We met up at Mt. Tabor park in SE Portland, the spot of their engagement, how cute is that! They were a bit nervous at first, but we got giggling and having fun pretty quickly.

    BWWall

Their lovey-dovey cuteness just melts me.

    swingkiss

One of the reasons we came to the park was the play set, these two are super playful and fun! I hear emily is even making her own coloring book together for the smallest guests at the wedding! Such a great idea!

    fieldset

I loved emily’s floral hairband, so stylie it gave the perfect pop of color to the pretty field.

    robotandflowers

and of course mad props to Mr. Stephen for his wardrobe as well! This shirt kills me, I am thinking my cute hubby might need one. Because well, Science rocks!

    bestoneevah

*sigh* and this one has to be my favorite of the whole bunch.  The adorableness is clear.

    cuteshoesset

that right there is the spot of the proposal, cute right! And of course with shoes like that I had to do the custom “shoe shot”! Em I love your style! :)

    spiney

and this last one is honestly kind of a mistake. I turned around quickly, or was walking down the path and caught a quick smooch. I love how the edges ended up a bit blurry and just had to post it. Turned out kind of cool right?! At least I think so ;)

Em & Stephen thanks for being up for anything and tromping around the park with me. I had a great time, and thanks for the delish lemon aid! I can not wait until your wedding in a few months. I can already tell it is going to be a great one.  And of course like all my other couples I have to hook up the blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to leave a comment on this here post I will hook up a 11×14 wall hanging of your choice! SO leave some love people.

I will have the rest for you very soon!

Ridiculous cuteness with the P family

I started talking to the mommy of two beautiful little girls a few months ago about setting up a session. She described her family and property and I knew I had to get them in front of my lens. The “P” family has an amazing home to shoot in and around. It is superbly decorated, and on stunning forested acres. It also helped the youngest family members are over the top adorable. :) I had so much fun running around after these two! The whole family was so great, I had a horrible time pairing down the images for a sneak peek.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    jumpingset

Meet “Big Sister” she was so fun, shhhh don’t tell mom I told her to jump on the bed. I just had to!

    bigissmilebed

Such a beautiful girl, and the room was so adorably decorated! T you have to tell me the name of your decorator. She did a great job!

    cribset

Meet “Little Sister” this little one may be small, but she has some serious character! Her room was also super cute, I just love that mobile!

    babycrib

    her little face kills me!

    girlstogether

they are also very sweet together, fast! but very sweet.

    bwset1

Such a fun family, I know there must be a ton of laughter in this home.

    fieldset

The property was absolutely beautiful to shoot on, really I have a million in this grassy meadow I just adore.

    bigsisbw

Big sister was so cute for me, messy hair and all. I love getting kids in their real life zone. :)

    familyinforest

We even tromped into the woods for a bit! I have to admit I ended up with a few mosquito bites, but so very worth it for these shots. How adorable are they!

    littlesisbw

Little sister has the most beautiful sparkly eyes. I love her pondering look here.

    slideset

Weeeee! I had to grab a few of the kids in action. They are some lucky kiddos to have a cool play-set in their own back yard. I am sure that thing sees allot of action on nice days. I love Little Sister’s expression doing down the slide, priceless!

T I had an absolutely fabulous time with all of you. Thanks for having me out to capture your fantastic family. I hope you like the results! Thanks again for the lovely goody bag as well, my little one is crazy about all the delicious new treats in our cupboard.  I will have the whole set for you very soon, and I have some ideas of wall collections already. And of course like all my new clients I would love to offer you a comment challenge. If you can 30 people to comment on this post, I will gift you a cute little wallet brag book perfect for taking cute little blond girls along with you on business trips. So get commenting folks!

Big fun with the “O” family

I have known members of the “O” family for many years. It’s a small town we live in, and this family has always been known for their kindness and laughter. After doing Kathleen’s senior photos last year she asked if I would do a family session, I said of course! This session was a gift from all three kids to their parents for mothers & father’s day, how awesome is that. I hope you all like them! I had a hard time narrowing it down, we had so much fun.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    olmstead-10

    they were all so fun

    logsset

I loved the campus we used for the session, so many great places to shoot. These random logs were too great not to use. Sorry again about the splinters guys!

    inflowers

    aidsfamily

We also broke out into smaller groups for some shots. How cute is Adrian’s family, seriously I could have done a full blog post on just this cute little blond!

    parentsmooch

yep I full on grossed out the kids but getting mom and dad to smooch, they are so adorable together.

    sisters

and the silly sisters had their moment in the spot light, these two crack me up!

    sillygwen

oh yes Gwen, I posted them! see what happens when you mug for me ;)

    staroftheshow

again the smallest family members become the star of the show, how cute is little M! I have so many more of these!

    familybridge

and one more of the whole family.

Guys I had a great time with all of you. Thanks again for being such sports during our session. I will have the rest for you soon!

As if this child needs an introduction…

You all remember last months super fun maternity session with Portland’s Radio Queen right? Well Daria & Dallas had the most amazing little boy last week.  I was tickled to go back for another session over the weekend. He was so good for me too, the perfect little model. I could pull out the longest blog post on this one, but I will keep it to a reasonable amount. I just had to share a few. He is such a sweet boy already, I am sure he will be quite the character. ;)

    World meet little Xander!

    babyxanderpeel20090606_11

He was such a good sleepy baby.

    onbwblanket

I think he might have the best newborn hair too, a natural little faux hawk.

    babyxanderpeel20090606_12

    such a cute little boy.

    mamaandson

Doesn’t Daria look amazing for being the mother of a newborn. No sleep apparently works for you girl!

    wholefamily

You can tell this little guy is very, very loved. Usually I have ask people to ignore me and just interact with the baby, these two are so in love with their little dude they could not take their eyes off him! Can you blame them? Yeah me either.

    familyset

    Yeah they are in L. O. V. E.

    familysmiles

I also had the pleasure of meeting Daria’s mom Dale. She was so sweet, again this babe already has a huge fan club. Just look at that smile, how could you not love him!

    mamababyagain

Daria and the new man in her life, such a sweet bond between a mother and a son.

    babybatman

and you know we had to break out the Batman again! I could do a whole post on these, but it is already a crazy long blog post so I will just show you my two favorite. :) The only thing we ran out of time for was the Lacrosse sticks, I am thinking when the little man is 6 months old we will have to hook that up!

Daria & Dallas thanks again for having me back to meet your little dude. He is simply divine, I know why you are so in love with him. It again was a pleasure to spend with with your growing family. I hope you are all getting a bit more sleep this week, I can’t wait to see him as he grows bigger and bigger. I am sure he will get even more fun! I will have the whole gallery for you up again soon. And after last times success, we have to do another comment challenge. I am thinking the maternity photo on the mantle needs a matching family photo. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post you will have another 11×14 coming from me! So leave some love people.
