    go baby go!

We had a lovely weekend at the emily g house. As I posted Sunday I spent my Saturday morning with the adorable Whitney & Michael. I am almost done with their gallery, it makes me even more excited for their wedding this weekend. Later that day our little family went to a super fun 4th birthday party and then to “our place” for dinner.  Sunday was much more low key. Lazy morning cartoon watching and a few errands. The sun even came out for a short time and I grabbed the chance to take some cute pics of my little one. She is growing like a weed these days!

I just recently started partnering with the lovely Shelia at www.babygoretro.com. She makes the most beautiful hand made kids clothes. I have purchased a few outfits in the past, and just adore the quality and creativity! Of course I jumped at the chance to do some product work for her.

Here are the first of a few sets for her spring and fall line. My little model just loved the twirly skirts and dress can you tell!

They are setting up for a studio sale in April, if you are in the Seattle area it will be super fun! And I know she will have more stuff online for sale too. I have a few more cute outfits to shoot as well so you will be seeing more here on the blog!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend as well!

Third times the charm, Whitney & Michael engagment session! Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

The first time we scheduled Michael & Whitney’s engagement session we ended up in the middle of a rain & wind storm, so we canceled.  The second time poor miss Whitney came down with food poisoning. So yesterday when the rains started up again we said forget it! We will just make the best of it, and got some great images.

It was a rainy day so we just went with it and used the umbrella in the shots. It is spring in Oregon might as well embrace it.

    They are so sweet together.

Whitney’s smile is so great. And especially great when Michael is smooching her.

And for a split second it stopped raining so we ran outside and grabbed a few under this amazing tree.

Whitney & Michael, thanks for braving the weather for me! I had a great time with the two of you. I can not wait to capture your big day.  I will have the whole set for you very soon.

    so excited I could cry

“One of the most beloved books of all time” is an understatement. I can remember reading this one with my mother as a kid. And we read it over and over and over in our house. My husband even has a tattoo of Max on his arm! It was one of the first reasons I fell in love with the man, you know with that tattoo he has to have a kind heart. We were ecstatic to hear director Spike Jonze was doing the project. His eye is amazing! The trailer made me tear up a bit. Enjoy!

We will be in line on October 16th you can bet!

It’s so very nice to be home…

    Hello Ya’ll!

It is so very lovely to be home. I will not bore you with the details of my insane travels home. How I almost got kicked off a plane minuets before take off, how I spent an hour walking around the Dalles airport trying to find any  T-shirt that did not say “Don”t Mess with Texas”, and many more “humorous” stories.

Instead I will share with you some beautiful photos, because well that is what I do!

Here are a few of my favorites from Julie & Jarett’s “day before” session. Living in Texas we did not have the chance to do an official “engagement session” so we went and took some fun ones before their rehearsal dinner. We had so much fun tromping around the San Angelo Visitor’s Center & Down town San Angelo.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

San Angelo has some amazing spots.

I loved this bridge, and it helps to have a super adorable couple.

I am always a fan of big wall murals, this western themed one was too perfect to pass up.

And my favorite. This is so “them”.

Jarett & Julie I can not thank you enough for having me down south. I will be posting some from your rehearsal and of course the big day soon!

    I’m leaving on a jet plane…

    forblogfall

It’s true, in the morning I will be up crazy early to head down south for a very special wedding.  Thanks to the recommendation of some wonderful local clients (the cute family above) I have been hired to shoot a wedding in Texas! I am so excited!

After visiting this little blog to see sneak peeks of bellies and growing babies Jarett & Julie asked me to shoot their wedding, and I could not be more flattered. I am excited to travel and meet the whole extended family. I am also really excited about the photographic possibilities down south. We will be in a super cute little quaint small town smack in the middle of the state.  How cool would it be to put my bride & Groom next to a huge cactus! Anyway the possibilities for creativity are endless, and I can not wait.

If you are looking to book a session or wedding please be patient with me. I will be back on Monday and do all my responding via email and phone then. I will also be away from facebook & twitter *gasp*! If you need to get a hold of me I will have some phone access, but really if you can wait until Monday that is your best bet!

so untill then friends, have a marvelouse weekend! I will have lots to show for my self next week!
