    Micah & Micah Love on Hawthorne {Engagment Photos Portland Oregon}

    She is a soon to be school teacher

    He is an architect

    Together they are nothing short of adorable.

    I met up with this fun couple on Hawthorne over the weekend to do some engagement photos. We had a good time walking around the area and finding cool buildings to use. I love SE Hawthorne, there are endless possibilities, every time I shoot there I find something new. Micah & Micah humored me with my crazy ideas. I will be shooting their wedding this summer and I can not wait! From all the reports I am getting it should be a beautiful affair.

    Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    These two have been together since high school, how sweet is that.

    And this crazy blue green wall, I had to tone it down a TON. Talk about bright whew. I loved all the fall tones we had going on that day.

    The soon to be Mr. & Mrs.

    How perfect is this wall mural! I have so many fun variations of this shot. It was just too perfect.

    I loved the super tall window here. I think this one would look great printed large.

    M & M thanks for traipsing around Hawthorne with me! I can not wait till your wedding, it is going to be beautiful. I should have this whole set ready for you with in a few weeks. I wanted wanted to post a bit of a teaser for you. And also because it is the season I would love to gift you a large print for your home. Let say if you can get 30 comments on this post I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on me .  Remember you can always post links to your myspace, and facebook accounts!

    So get commenting people!

    Amy Class of 2009 take two {Newberg High School Senior Photos}

    As I just said I spent my Sunday afternoon with Amy and Sophie from Newberg High School doing the second half of their senior photos. You can see Amy’s first peek here, and be sure to leave a comment so this pretty girl can get some credit towards a coffee table book!

    We had a great time tromping around old town/china town for the second half of our sessions. So many great walls with bright colors. I had a super hard time choosing what photos to show you all for the peek but here goes! Some of my favs so far:

    This blue purple was was too great not to use!

    And where else in the city can you find bright gold trim?!

    Even in black and white she is such a beautiful girl.

    And we even found a bench to do the “bench shot” that was all Amy’s idea.

    Once again I had a great time with you girls! I will both complete sets up for you with in a few weeks time.

    You might remember this lovely lady from last week‘s visit to Silver Creek Falls. Well this weekend she was back in front of my lens, this time in down town Portland. Yet another fun day with great photos to show for it. It is going to be so hard to whittle down to just one gallery for this girl, too much good stuff!

    Remember Sophie has a comment challenge going on as well so please do comment here or on the last post so she can win some cash towards a cool coffee table book.

    So for you Sophie, here is your Portland Peek.

    And no BF I did not photoshop her eyes. They are just that awesome in the perfect light!

    And of course we did some more jumping.

    Wilsonville Oregon Family Portraits {fun family sneak peek}

    Last weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out with some family members and taking some holiday photos for them. M & D own a commercial nursery and I have been itching to shoot there, talk about great light to shoot in. They also have two of the cutest soon to be 5 year olds I know. If you have seen my daughter make a silly face odds are one of these two taught her how. These guys were such hams for the camera!

    We also did some shooting up at their house. I had a great time putting people I know so well in front of my lens. It’s funny it is just a piece of metal and glass, but it changes the way you look at people.

    So here are a few of my favorites so far:

    Hmm does he remind you of a particular peanuts character? He loves his blankie, so cute.

    Mr T here was all smiles for me. And so photogenic with those sparkly eyes.

    Such a ham! He had me cracking up the whole time.

    Silly boys :)

    They don’t grow like weeds in this family, they grow like perennials. ;)

    These two also love their great uncle, one of the men responsible for this great green house.

    M & D I had a great time with you all! I hope you like some of what we got.

    I will have the full set up for you very soon!

    Sophie’s turn in the spot light {Newberg High School Senior Photos}

    As I previously posted I spent last Saturday morning at Silver Creek Falls with two lovely ladies. Amy already had her peek and now it is Sophie’s turn to show off a bit.  Here are a quick few of my favs so far.

    Sophie like Amy was super fun to work with.  She has got one of the best natural smiles I have ever had the fortune of photographing.

    Soph also had great taste in clothing for the session. I loved this scarf.

    I love her killer eyes in this one. They really are that sparkly!

    And can you believe that she made this dress her self! Soph is an aspiring designer, and after seeing this dress I think she is well on her way!

    Again I had a great time with you two and I am looking forward about shooting in Portland this weekend! We will have lots of fun I am sure. Soph I will offer you the same challenge as I did for Amy. If you can get 30 comments on this post (you, friends, family, pets who ever) I will give you $30 off one of the coffee table books I showed you.  Good luck, Amy is almost half way there!

    I will see you both again this weekend!
