I had the pleasure of photographing the always wonderful Erica & Mike as they said “I do!” just a few weeks back.

I also wanted to fulfill a promise I made to a certain maiden of honor. You see Amy did not get the chance to share the toast she had prepaired for the wedding recpetion. So I promised her I would post it on the blog when I had a chance to peek a few photos.

Erica and I have been friends for a long time, about 15 years.
Our friendship has taken us through different colleges at different times, marriage for me, 3000 miles apart for several years, babies for both of us, and now marriage for Mike and Erica.
The other day I started thinking about how we’ve remained friends for so long and through so many stages in our lives.
The answer: Erica+ Amy = Laughter (and Starbucks, but mostly laughter). I’m talking about giggles, side splitting, laughing so hard you cry, inside jokes that make you titter, slap-stick laughter. The kind of laughter I cannot wait to hear my girls share together.
My friendship with Erica has colored the way I view marriage, and I believe that laughter and friendship are vital ingredients in any marriage making the good days great and the tough ones better.
In the past year and a half I have had the pleasure of witnessing Erica and Mike together and I think that their family and friends can all agree that they have both friendship and laughter in abundance. They are destined to have great days ahead of them no matter where they are in their life together.
To Erica & Mike and to laughing so hard you cry. Cheers!
