Charlotte contacted me a few months back about photographing her and Katie’s big day this December. I was excited to meet with them for sure, but once I heard the details of the event I just knew I had to be the one to capture it! These two ladies are not only beautiful, they are both completely adorably & fun to hang out with. We had a ton of fun running around NW & SW Portland a few days back getting some engagement photos. I can not wait for the big wedding day in December already!
Here are a few of my favorites so far:
We met up at the HUGE Powells bookstore in NW Portland. I have to admit I am always scared of getting kicked out, but these two were lots of fun to search the stacks with.
From Powells we headed out into the neighborhood. We had to get a few at the Armory, this amazing venue is the site of the main even this December.
Charlotte & Katie did a great job picking outfits for our fun quirky session, check out the rad converse and lightning socks! Uh love!
aside from being fun and well dressed they are just plain adorable together. 🙂

We also wanted to take advantage of the amazing fall colors, so we headed down to Charlotte & my alma mater Portland State. The leaves were perfect!
and one last set of our lovely couple. Really, they are just so sweet together.
Charlotte & Katie, thanks again for waking up early and heading out with me. You two were so great! I can not wait to capture your big day for you in just a few short weeks! I will have this whole gallery for you very, very soon. As always for all my new lovely clients I just have to hook up the comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this little blog post, I will hook up an 11×14 wall print on the house. I am thinking the one in front of the door would look awesome printed large… just a thought. 😉 So leave some love folks!

Love the pictures! It’s hard to pick out a favorite… I really like the black and white shots in the middle.
I love the 5th photo…the girls in front of the red store front (says “Oregon Transfer” backwards)…absolutely fantastic!!! I wish I had found you to “shoot” my union… ;o)

I’ve been searching for a Portland photographer to shoot our Oregon Coast wedding next Fall and you are the first photographer that is willing to post pictures of LGBT couples actually kissing! It seems as if too many photographers are unwilling to do that, maybe with a fear of losing potential conservative clients. Thank you for having the guts to shoot a beautiful couple in love, kissing, for all to see!
